GUIDE / SEPTEMBER 2026

RELAY Web

Browse on the web. Play with your computer.

Start a stream

  1. Open RELAY Web.
  2. For torrent playback, install and start Companion on the same computer.
  3. Allow the browser's local-network connection prompt for the official RELAY site if it appears.
  4. Choose a movie, or select a season and episode. Open its sources and choose a release.

What Companion does

The site handles discovery and the interface. Companion communicates with torrent peers and prepares a local media stream. Torrent playback needs a reachable local Companion connection; browsing does not necessarily need it.

Availability labels

A playable check looks for resolved metadata, a video file and peers. It is a point-in-time availability signal, not a full download or a codec certification. An unconfirmed result can mean discovery is slow. Peer counts, network conditions and availability can change after checking.

Format limits

The browser still has its own codec, container, audio and display limitations. A reachable torrent can contain media your browser cannot decode. Try a different release or the Windows app when a format is unsupported.

Addons

Only selected addons should participate in discovery. Source addons are separate from catalogue addons: a catalogue-only setup can display titles while returning no streams. See addon management. Older web interfaces may not expose every new Windows library control.
